This week’s post is devoted to an artist and illustrator I’ve recently discovered in my constant search for new Disney brooches. Perhaps one of the most interesting Disney accessory designers out there, Hungry Designs features an array of Disney-themed artwork as well as other pop culture loves (X-Files, Harry Potter, Twin Peaks, Sailor Moon, you name it).
Aside from offering her artwork for sale on her Etsy, she also sells mounted headpieces of mythical creatures and dinosaurs, stickers, postcards, hair bows, earrings, and my personal favorite, brooches!
Although I’m sure it’s obvious, I have QUITE the soft spot for Disney brooches, and her laser-cut wood brooches might possibly have my favorite range of characters and styles that I’ve come across so far. Not only does she feature my favorite princess in her peasant gown (another soft spot of mine – the princesses in their peasant gowns) lounging with a book above a pile of teacups that include Chip…
…but she features rarer characters – and many secondary characters that would all be great accessories for Disneybounding! I already have outfits in mind for Chip, Flotsam & Jetsam, and Flounder.
Take a look at her shop and check her out on Instagram for more amazing items! Belle on the teacups, the X-Files “I want to believe”, the Blue Worm from Labyrinth, the Flounder and Chip brooches and earrings, and the Bambi are definitely on my must-haves list! And although she’s an Australian artist, her shipping is only about ten dollars – not so bad if you buy multiple items.
