For those who have been longtime followers (and even those who’ve recently joined me for the ride), it has been no secret that my love for a certain vintage-inspired makeup brand is rampant. As such, I’ve been trying to find the time to put together proper review and how-to videos using their products showing off the one company who has earned my brand loyalty. Well…now is the time!
Bésame Cosmetics, founded by the stunning Gabriela Hernandez, is a makeup brand that constantly strives to recreate shades and formulations from the 1920s-1960s, all in the most beautiful, retro packaging. Although I can’t remember how I first discovered the brand, it was certainly years ago, and it began with their lipstick Red Velvet – a beautiful, incredibly wearable neutral red shade based on a 1946 color. Since then, I’ve collected (almost) the entirety of their lipstick range, cake mascara, cream and powder rouges, perfumes, powders, makeup brushes, and most recently, their new Cashmere Stick Foundations.
As their most recent product release, I wanted to start with a review of their Cashmere Stick Foundations as well as a mini how-to to show off how the foundation applies. Of their 8 shades, I tried 5 to find the perfect shade, and settled on my three favorites for concealer, foundation, and contour. You can catch the full review on my youtube channel:
I’m excited to get the first video of my Bésame Cosmetics series up and running and can’t wait to play with the video lights on their way to me so I can stop relying on ever-changing natural light! Stay tuned for more videos reviewing, swatching, and gabbing about this unique brand.
P.S., any other Bésame Cosmetics fans geeking out over their announcement of the new Snow White and Agent Carter range?
