WEEKLY OUTFIT ROUNDUP (02/06/2017-02/12/2017)

collage_fotor

Although I was home applying to jobs most of the week, I still forced myself into a few outings to keep myself out of the laziness that comes from having to lie around at home the majority of the time. Luckily, I had an early Galentine’s Day celebration and a trip to the zoo to give me a reason for enjoying getting dressed.

Hope you enjoy this week’s looks!

Best,

Miss Lark Bahar

Friday’s Look

My best friend, lil sis, and I all celebrated Galentine’s Day together, so the outfit was naturally composed of hearts, reds, and pinks. I went with a casual look for my review of these FABULOUS jeans from Lady K Loves (which you can read here).

Saturday’s Look

Yesterday’s look featured a rare combination, a summer top paired with a winter skirt. Since it’s generally either too hot or too cold here, I can rarely combine outfits, but since we decided to do some window shopping at a local downtown event, and the weather forecast featured the rare cloudy sky, I opted for a combo outfit to cover my bases. I was actually quite pleased with the color combination!

Decided to head to the zoo for the first time in at LEAST half a decade! Opted to wear my new-to-me vintage yellow top I found Saturday downtown by pairing it with a holiday skirt I won in a giveaway to make it less seasonal.

WEEKLY OUTFIT ROUNDUP (08/29/2016-09/11/2016)

These past two weeks have been a bit hectic for my roommate and I for various reasons, so we were able to document fewer outfits of mine. Luckily, two weeks yielded a decent enough number for a roundup post!

Miss Lark Bahar

Last Monday’s Look

I decided to pull out one of the wiggles I won from a Vivien of Holloway giveaway around Christmas last year as I transition into fall/winter styles. Since this is a bright dress, I don’t have much of a window to wear it since it’s too warm for most months here, but I figure it’s close enough to summer to work for now. It is still in the 100s after all. Side note: I definitely have to acquire some sort of glue to seal the heels of all of my shoes. They really take a beating with all the walking I do.

Last Friday’s Look

I’ve been dying to wear this capri skirt set for ages but the thick brocade material just made it too hot to justify. But just like the outfit above, I’ve been in the autumn mood, so I finally decided to wear em. It’s been so long that I actually forgot how poorly they fit. Really need to take them to the tailor and get the front area taken in and the seat area let out. I actually popped a button at work! And yet there’s so much loose fabric in the front…

This Tuesday’s Look

Again, this outfit was trying to work in a bit more of an autumn-friendly aspect, this time with color-scheme. I realized I’ve not been wearing all of my beloved shorts lately, so decided to plan a darker look with my striped shorts for my brooch review this week.

This Thursday’s Look

Went full-on summer garb with this look, but ah well. It’s a transitional period 😉. I had fun with all the accessorization! I really need to get this dress in autumn-friendly prints.

This Friday’s Look

I honestly have no words for how much I am in love with this vintage dress. I got it awhile ago but didn’t want to wear the wiggle in the heat, so figured I’d save it for autumn-time to give me something to look forward to. I’m so glad I did! I have never had a wiggle that fit me so perfectly since my proportions are so curvy, but this dress is honestly a dream. It feels absolutely amazing on and even has my most coveted of necklines: the wide-set square neckline. Such a beautiful piece. I wish it photographed as beautifully as it looks in person (but prepare for spam anyway).

I told you guys I’d be better about my weekly roundups! I’m back, baby!

Last Sunday’s Look

Yes, I cheated and am including last Sunday’s outfit since it didn’t get to show up on my blog due to it’s appearance at the end of my Week of Disneybounding. I just couldn’t wait to wear my first new Pinup Girl Clothing skirt in…god knows how long! Not a big fan of the shorter skirt (I sold all of my old PUG skirts that hit at my knee), but I love the print too much to return it. Just have to roll my petticoats up three times so they don’t show and it’s not a huge deal.

Monday’s Look

Another new PUG item featured today! I’ve been completely in love with the new printed PUG peasant tops, but couldn’t afford any when they were released. So happy when this Tiki printed one dropped with it’s gorgeous colors when I could afford it. I’m not huge on tiki themed prints, but this one reads in a less cliche way so I knew I had to have it! Plus, it featured the new bust design, so I was curious to see the fit (blog post coming). Also my first time trying out my new shade of Besame lipstick. Totally in love (also blog coming on all my Besame <3).

Thursday’s Look

I realized this week that somehow my roomie’s phone takes better images in our apartment than the camera. Does it make sense? Nope. Am I glad to have realized it? Yep. The intense shadows are so much softer! And you can actually see all of the featured colors. Yay! First time wearing my other new Besame shade, Carmine, an orange-y red that’s still a bit scary for me to wear.

Review + Discount Code: Daisy Jean Floral Designs’ Earrings

While I’m a huge fan of any and all Disney-themed and novelty jewelry items, I’ve been noticing lately that I have an unfortunate lack of single color accessories to pair with my wardrobe. When Daisy Jean Floral Designs contacted me asking if I would be interested in reviewing some pieces from their new jewelry line, it felt like fate!

I already knew that I needed some purple and blue earrings to fill out my wardrobe, so it was only a matter of choosing between styles. With a full range of shapes and glittery fillers, it was tough to choose, but I also knew that if I liked the items I received to review, I could easily afford to purchase more even with internationally shipping included (which is only a few additional dollars).

I ended up going for the glitter hoops in purple (as I’ve been needing to add some more hoop-styled earrings to my wardrobe), and the glitter tear drops in bright blue. I was also given a choice of stud or clip-on backings – a very useful customizable option.

I was very happy with the earrings that I received as they seemed sturdy and definitely gave me that impactful pop of color I was hoping for to help pull an outfit together without overpowering other designs and patterns in the look.

Here they are in action – and I know these are going to get plenty of wear as they already have!

Daisy Jean Floral Designs are definitely my new go-to for earrings as I’m absolutely smitten with the colors and glitters available. I hope to acquire a rainbow of their earrings so I always have statement earrings to pair with outfits that don’t clash with my kitschy novelty brooches. I particularly have the pearlescent items on my wish list since…well…they’re just so puuurty!

I’m officially a fan, and you can’t really argue with getting a discount code on top of the already very affordable prices.
